The "masked bandit" as they are affectionately known as, is an apt term to describe the Raccoon (Procyon lotor). Being a proficient thief is one way the raccoon has dominated the landscape throughout North America. Being incredibly versatile in where they live and the food they eat is the other way. Being found from the dumpsters of New York City to the farms of Nebraska, the raccoon is the epitome of success.
